Should any pest activity be detected between these scheduled visits, and the pest is covered under your plan, you can rely on free, unlimited service requests. Spring

B.J. Riley Pest Control’s technician will inspect the perimeter of your home and render a treatment focused on pests that typically invade your home during this time of year, such as ants, carpenter ants, and termites. Carpenter ants and termites are both capable of chewing through wood and can cause expensive structural damage to your home.

During our spring visit, our technician will inspect the perimeter of your home and render a treatment specially focused on these pests. In addition, B.J. Riley Pest Control will treat any wasp or hornet nests that may form in various areas of your home to prevent more significant issues from developing in the coming months. This visit will set the foundation for a successful pest prevention program for your Pennsylvania home. Along with our service visits, designed to prevent pests from entering your home, we offer free, unlimited service requests for covered pests, including your home’s interior and exterior, should the need arise. If you notice pest activity in between scheduled preventative treatments, B.J. Riley will treat your home for covered pests at NO ADDITIONAL COST.

Summer

During the summer months, your technician will apply a protective barrier around your home to control common summer pests (including ants, spiders, and silverfish) and treat flying insect nests to eliminate active populations. Viking Shield Gold and Silver customers will also receive mosquito and tick treatments, as these pests are dangerous disease vectors and can cause serious health issues such as EEE, Zika Virus, and Lyme Disease. Viking Shield customers will also receive an exterior inspection for rodent entry points, as well as any developing activity to stop rodents from entering. All yearly Viking Shield customers receive Unlimited Service Requests for covered pests. If you notice pest activity in between scheduled preventative treatments, B.J. Riley Pest Control will treat your home for covered pests at NO ADDITIONAL COST.

Fall/Winter

As the year draws to a close, we focus our attention on pests such as cockroaches, mice, and stink bugs. Many pests seek refuge from the colder months indoors, so our technician pays particular attention to entry points and the exterior of your home. This visit is crucial to effective pest management come spring. Pests that use your home for shelter during this time will remerge in spring, and this is how most pest infestations begin. If pest concerns and entry points are addressed before pests overwinter during Fall, you will notice less pest activity come spring. Along with our service visits, which are designed to prevent pests from entering your home, we offer a free callback service for covered pests, including your home’s interior and exterior, should the need arise. All yearly Viking Shield customers receive Unlimited Service Requests for covered pests. If you notice pest activity in between scheduled preventative treatments, B.J. Riley Pest Control will treat your home for covered pests at NO ADDITIONAL COST.

Please follow any precautionary or preparation guidelines described to you for previous services, including but not limited to:

• Ensure all exterior areas of the property are accessible, gates are unlocked, and personal items have been removed from within 2 feet of the foundation of the home
• Pets are kept indoors; if interior service is being provided, please ensure pets are confined
• Doors/windows are closed.
• Avoid all treated areas until dry, unless otherwise instructed by your service technician.

If you have not been asked to follow these guidelines for previous services, you may disregard this notice. Several B.J. Riley residential pest control services are designed so the property owner does not need to be home for service.

• If you have not been required to be at home for service in the past, you are not required to be at home for this appointment. This appointment may be rescheduled due to unforeseen weather or other circumstances. If this occurs, your appointment will be rescheduled for the next available service date.
